Last Friday we attended the Nonick 09 Conference. The Startup 2.0 final took place there and we presented trourist. Although, we didn’t get the best European startup award, we are happy trourist had good acceptance by the people who came to Bilbao. The startups who won are:
1º Colnect: It is a comprehensive online solution for collectors of mass produced collectibles based in Israel. Though they are a young site, they already have an important number of users and collectibles. All that, and the potential of the market they are addressing turn Colnect into a very promissing community.
2º Genoom: It is a social networking platform designed to build private family networks. Users can build family trees and share photos and information between them. They already have more than 600.000 users registered.
3º Twidox. It is is a free online library that allows users and organisations to effortlessly upload, share and manage their documents.
Our sincere congratulations to the three of you.
We also would like to thank our development team, Linking Paths and La Personnalité for the excellent work they’ve done to have trourist prepared for the Nonick Conference.

We got it! After an exciting voting process, we have qualified for the startup 2.0 final. A total of ten European startups have been selected within 157 projects. It means we’ll have the chance to present trourist to a panel of Venture capitals, angel investors, Web 2.0 specialists and other entrepreneurs from all around Europe.
In a word, it’s a great opportunity for us. Such a great thing could only be achieved with your support and we would like to thank you all sincerely. Thanks for your votes!
